He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Howitt and Margaret Swan Howitt (Swan). He is survived by: his wife Brenda C. Viger Howitt; his children, David R. (Pam), Angela Howitt of Rumford and Douglas Howitt (Diane) of Scarborough; his grandchildren, Jill Howitt Deluca (Andrew), Adam Howitt, Alexa Howitt and Noah Howitt of Scarborough; his great grandchildren, Parker David Deluca and Brady Dominic Deluca; and his brothers, George Howitt (Jenny) and Leland Howitt.
