With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Agnes M. Townsend of Saco, Maine, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Walsh and Norma Walsh (Flaherty); and her siblings, Peter, Walley, Frank, Coley and Billy.
She is survived by: her husband James G. Townsend Sr.; her sons, James G. Townsend II and Thomas E. Townsend; her grandchildren, Jessica Zousoumas, Angela Townsend, Kimberly Townsend, Tayla Savage, Andrew Townsend and Christopher Townsend; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Gibson, Bella Townsend, Charity Goudreau, Tommy Goudreau and Christian Goudreau. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cote Funeral Home Chapel (87 James St, Saco, ME 04072). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Margaret's Church (6 Saco Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Agnes to St. Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
