He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene Charland and Dorothy Valade Charland; his wives, Linda, JoLynne and Diane; his daughters, Dawn Crager, Andrea Ange and Angela Shivers; his granddaughter Ashlee Swazey; his brother Gary Charland; his nephew Mark Schepis; and his cousin John "Diggs" Valade.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Hartford (Mike), Alicia Hall (Ben), Shannon Hebert (Daniel) and Crystal Weber (Scott); and his sister Yvonne Schepis (Robert). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
