He is survived by: his mother Lee Bates (Shaffer) of Florida; his daughter Kelsea Elizabeth; his wife Susan Ferreira; and his siblings, Robin Sloan (David) of Florida, Jay Bates and Scott Bates of New Jersey. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home (13 Portland Rd, Buxton, ME 04093).
