He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Benson and Ruth Benson (Adams); his wife Florence Benson (Rossignol); and his sisters, Sue Campbell, Shirley Gilbert, Betty Cote and Marilyn Cote (Phil).
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bob" Benson Jr. and Lisa Hersey; his siblings, Ronny Benson (Debbie), Andy Belisle, Mickey Adams (Bob) and Bev Jackson (Allan); his brother-in-law Wayne Gilbert; his grandchildren, Joshua, Kyle, Brandon, Connor and Justin; and his great grandchildren, Zachariah, Dawson, Aleia and Blake.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cote Funeral Home (87 James St, Saco, ME 04072). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (120 West St, Biddeford, ME 04005).
