He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter R. Johnson and Doris E. Morgan; his daughter Yvette Johnson; his siblings, Ann Leclair and Donald Johnson; his half-brother Paul Warner; and his grandson Jaime Bonney.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnson; his granddaughter Samantha Cook; his great grandchildren, Emmitt Belmore, Austin Belmore and Logan Cook; his stepson Conrad Jellison (Michele); his grandchildren, Madison Jellison, Cody Jellison and Hunter Jellison; and his great grandchildren, Henley Kidnay, Ani Jellison and Levi Jellison.
