He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcel Chretien and Mona Chretien (Saucier). He is survived by: his significant other Kimberly Belanger Chretien; his brother Bruce Chretien (Darleen); his brother-in-law Brian Belanger (Kim Smith Belanger); his nieces and nephews, Jesse Belanger (Heather), Mike Belanger, Brandon Chretien, Kayla Belanger (Branch Ellison) and Carly Chretien; and his great-nephews, Sawyer Belanger and Bodhin Belanger-Ellison.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish Holy Family Church (66 North Ave, Sanford, ME 04073). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oakdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in David's memory to the Ronald McDonald House in Portland, Maine, whose kindness and love provided comfort and support to the family during medical challenges over the years.
