He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Alberta (Gaynor); and his siblings, Mary Work of Westbrook, Connie McNeal of Arkansas, Alberta "Trudy" Howland and George Alexander Jr. of Portland.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Fox of Scarborough; his children, George of Topsham, Cindy Thibeault (Mark) of Portland, Louis Jr. (Antoinette) of Gray and James of Gray; and his stepchildren, George Smith of Portland, Edna Curit and Alfred Smith (Christine) of Portland. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
