He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Elder Sr. and Sadie Mildred Elder (Baggs); and his sister Judith Elder Fuller of Weymouth, MA.. He is survived by: his sister Carolyn Grannan of Noblesville, IN; and his children, Michele McDermott (Kevin) of Gray, ME, Robert L. Elder (Karen) of Beaufort, SC and Charles S. Elder (Linda) of Chebeague Island, ME. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
