He is survived by: his wife Peg; his children, Winthrop N. Smith, Jr. (Allison Smith) of Scarborough, Christopher M. Smith of Scarborough, Margaret D. Smith of Scarborough, Sarah S. Kelly (Brandon Kelly) of Scarborough, James Hopkins Smith II of Portland and Daniel J. Smith of York, Maine; his grandchild Kellen Smith (Emma) of New York City; and his children, Brendon, Emma Smith of Denver, Connor Kelly of Saco, Ryan Kelly of Scarborough, Summer and Porter Smith of York.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church (150 Black Point Rd, Scarborough, ME 04074).
