He was predeceased by: his son Allen Fredrick Crabtree IV; his brother Emery Daily; and his former wife Shirley L French. He is survived by: his wife Penelope Crabtree; his son James Crabtree Sr. (Kimberly Crabtree); his grandchildren, Abigale Crabtree and Ian Crabtree; and his stepson Christopher Wright (April Wright) of Vermont.
