He was predeceased by: his father Edward Carruthers; and his brothers, Chester Carruthers and Robert Carruthers. He is survived by: his mother Mary Carruthers (Nutting); his wife Rosalie Carruthers (Nason); his children, Joshua Cutting (Jessica) and Mollie Carruthers; and his siblings, Judy Nile (Larry), Carol Allen, Emmy Andrews, Richard Carruthers and Kenny Carruthers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
