He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurlow Mitchell and Verda Mitchell; his siblings, Dody Robinson and Bill Mitchell; and his close friend Gregory Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Marr Mitchell; his children, Heidi (Mike Poulin), Kristy (Bob Karcher) and Alex; his brother-in-law Dean Robinson of Raleigh, NC; and his close friend Carol Cole of Patten. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends.
