He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice E. Carter and Lizzie Patten Carter (Patten); and his siblings, Merle "Bud", Raymond "Bill", Arthur, Kenneth, Gladys Hughes, Myrtle Brown, Erma Williams, Bettey Harris and Maxine Diperrio.
He is survived by: his wife Miss Ada Littlefield; his sister Winnifred Beaulieu of Presque Isle; his brother-in-law Ron Dipierro of Merrimack, NH; and his close friend Janice Wheeler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and his wife's niece.
