He was predeceased by: his parents, Leaton Sumner and Myrtle Sumner of Greenwood, Maine.; and his brother Samuel Sumner. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Joy Sumner (Emmons); his children, Corey Sumner (Jenn) and April Buffington (Scott); his grandchildren, Kasey Mills, Dylan Mills, Logan Sumner, Raquel Harris and Amber Harris; his stepgrandchildren, Kayla Ross and Jeffrey Dunphe; his great grandchild Emerand Hiltz; his siblings, Viola Pierchorowicz, Susan Kemp, Lois Abbott, Rick Sumner, Leaton Sumner Jr. (Skip), Linda Wade, Kathy McKinnon, Mary Jean Connell (Jeannie) and Elizabeth Cadrette; and his friend Wade Rainey (Dian). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
