With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert Edward Hunter of South Portland, Maine, born in Lewiston, Maine, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Robert Edward left this world on May 30, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Hunter and Hester Bell Hunter; and his son Timothy. He is survived by: his daughter Judith Frothingham; his son-in-law Richard Frothingham of Fort Mill; his daughter Deborah Hunter of Scarborough; his granddaughter Kathryn Frothingham of Boston; his sister-in-law Karen Hanlon; and his nephews, Jeff Hanlon, Kevin Hanlon and Michael Hunter.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hobbs Funeral Home (230 Cottage Rd, South Portland, ME 04106). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
