He was predeceased by: his wife Karen A. Ferrante (Herbert); his parents, Ethel J. Ferrante (Cash) and Donato J. Ferrante; and his sister Donna Ferrante. He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Ferrante II (Jen) of Standish, Matthew Ferrante (Mary) of Standish and Jeremy Ferrante of Standish; his brothers, David Ferrante (Susan) and Dana Ferrante (Sherri); his grandchildren, Taylor Wescott of Limington, Noah Ferrante of Portland, Emma Adams of Hiram, Daniel Ferrante III of Yarmouth, Jeremy Selmer of Chelsea, Alexis Ferrante of Standish, Kaleb Ferrante of Standish and Colby Ferrante of Skowhegan; and his great grandchildren, Tanner, Braxton and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Maine Cancer Foundation.
