He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Bennett and Mary Bennett (MacDonald); his wife Barbara; and his siblings, Mae, Georgina, Francis, Paula, Ervin, Arvid and Raymond.
He is survived by: his brother Thomas Bennett of Virginia; his children, Linda Ripley of Gray and Robert Bennett (Karen) of Falmouth; his grandchildren, Kelly Ripley (James Nelson), Jake Ripley and Katherine Bennett; his great grandchildren, Dalilah and Peyton; and his nephew Mike Metcalf. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dow Corner Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 390 US-1, Scarborough, ME 04074 for their support and comfort in the final days.
