She was predeceased by: her parents, Muriel McCurdy Cox and Gilbert P. Cox (Gib); and her significant other Carlton Nida. She is survived by: her son Peter Cox of Buxton; her grandson Jaret Cox (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Madison Cox and Maci Cox of Buxton; and her uncles, James Ritchie and Dana Cox. She is also survived by many cousins, distant family and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations be made to The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in remembrance of Joyce as she was an avid animal lover.
