We announce the death of Edison C. Henderson Sr. (Sumner, Maine), who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Henderson and Anna Henderson (Holt); his son Stewart Henderson; his grandson Jared Henderson; and his siblings, Tom, Paul, Sally and Martha.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Bragg; his son David Heath; his grandchildren, Rosemary, Stephanie Buswell (Gerald), Stephen Henderson (Beverly), Edison Henderson Jr., Shawn Henderson (Karen), Suzanne Rowe, Danielle, Justin, Jamison, Alyssa, Lindsay, Brigette, Caitlin, Marissa, Crosby, Lauren, Michael, Gunnar, Katherine, Max and Autumn; and his siblings, Fred (Carole), Quentin (Glenice), Dennis (Nancy) and Dona Brown. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the East Sumner Congregational Church (50 Main St, Sumner, ME 04292). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Elmwood Cemetery.
