Janis Whitcomb-Kilbreth Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janis Whitcomb-Kilbreth of Turner, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janis Whitcomb-Kilbreth to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alden A. Green and Phyllis Green (Tucker); her husband Herbert Wesley Whitcomb; her former husband Frank "Billy" Kilbreth; her son Peter Wesley; her brothers, Alden E. Green and Bertrum Green; her half-brothers, Steven Green and Gary Green; her son-in-law Rocky Freda; and her cousin Jeannette Couture (Hines).
She is survived by: her children, Lisa W. Freda of Bethel, Brent M. Whitcomb (Elaine) of Keesville, NY and Beth W. St. Pierre (Marc) of Turner; her stepchildren, Stephen Kilbreth (Thelma) of Mechanic Falls, Cheryl Vogelsong (Tom) of Brooksville, FL, Robin Wiggin (Jim) of Benton, Kelly Smith (Richard) of Altamonte Springs, FL and Candace Benoit (Dave) of Verona Island; her grandchildren, Thomas Whitcomb (Elizabeth), Matthew Whitcomb, Hannah Richards (Adam), Spencer St. Pierre and Shelby Ryan (Erik); her great grandchildren, Katherine, Kennedy Whitcomb, Quinn, Connor Richards, Hadley St. Pierre and Noah Ryan; her stepgrandchildren, Tacey Bartlett (Mike), Rhonda Wozny (Tim), Sonya Bowling (Eric), Andrew Wiggin (Kelly), Lane Wiggin (Jessica), Carly Wiggin, Kyle Smith (Cristina), Mary-Abbie Amer (Martin), JoEllen Goldsberry (Joe Don), Glen Kilbreth (Naomi) and Heath Kilbreth; her brother Alvin "Happy" Green (Juanita); her half-siblings, Valerie Green and William Green; and her sisters-in-law, Glenice Green and Pam Green. She is also survived by 18 step-greatgrandchildren, many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Finley Funeral Home (15 Church St, Livermore Falls, ME 04254). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
