It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel R. LaPointe of Van Buren, Maine, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "J. R." LaPointe and Aurore LaPointe (LaPierre). He is survived by: his wife Marie-Paule LaPointe (Devost) of Van Buren; his children, Dr. Julie Ann M. Bonanni (Pierino) of Albany, NY, Philip J. LaPointe (Amy) of Marysville, OH and David R. LaPointe (Trudi) of Caribou, ME; his brother Dr. Joseph R. LaPointe, Jr. (Janice) of Sunnyvale, CA; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Stefania, Peter, Sarah, Tyler and Kyle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Church (174 Main St, Van Buren, ME 04785). A Mass will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bruno Cemetery (174 Main St, Van Buren, ME 04785).
