He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis'Sunset' Carlson and Dorothy Carlson (Grover); and his granddaughter Isabella Joy. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Joy of Bangor, Donald Joy of Rockland, John Joy of Thomaston, Rebecca Garnett of Jonesport and Dylan Carlson of Waldoboro; and his siblings, Christine Ross of Waldoboro, Francis Carlson Jr. of Union and Mark Carlson of Rockland. He is also survived by many grandchildren, family, and friends.
