He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood Shaw Elliott and Florence Ward Elliott; and his wife Lydia. He is survived by: his children, Richard W. Elliott II (Elisha) and Robin Elliott (Laura Minervino); and his siblings, Roger (Judy Elliott) and Carolyn Hewitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
