He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Johnson and May Johnson (Elwell); his wife Gael; his son Ronnie; his sister Ruthanne Collinson (Rufus); his daughter Gaely Johnson; his granddaughter Sarah Johnson; his sister Linda Tucker; his brother-in-law Troy Tucker; and his nieces and nephews, Tyler Tucker, Sam Collinson, Suzanna and Bradshaw Collinson.

He was a member of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation Gallery, where he painted weekly with a group of artists and his wonderful paintings were shown and sold.
