It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tomm B. Shockey (Waldoboro, Maine), who passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Tomm may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralf J. Shockey and Sara Newman Shockey. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Galvin of Union; his former wife Gunilla Broman of Friendship; his children, Ingrid Shockey of Northampton and Sven Shockey of Washington, DC.; his grandsons, Forrest Webler and Kai Webler; his sister Edith Martin; and his sister-in-law Sue Shockey. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, Sussman House, or Penn Bay Amateur Radio Club.
