He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Thompson and Ruth Thompson of Benton, Maine.; his wife Hazel Thompson; his sons, Mike Thompson, Arthur Thompson Jr. and Herbert Thompson; and his sisters, Flotie Thompson, Dolores Simpson and Lois DeRaps.
He is survived by: his son Edward Thompson of Waterville; his daughters-in-law, Sharon Thompson of Benton and Janet Thompson Bard of Fairfield Center; his grandchildren, Scott Thompson (Rachel) of Clinton, Justin Thompson of Augusta, Michelle Thompson (Ryan) of Stetson, Mindy Servello (Sergio) of Pepperell and Brittany Olivares (Hugo) of Oakland; and his great grandchildren, Cora Thompson, Luca Servello and Gael Olivares.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Light of Arthur Foundation, a nonprofit created to continue his legacy by supporting Maine children in need.
