It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane M. Clayton in Waterville, Maine, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clayton and Mildred Clayton (Brooks); her son Kevin Leighton; and her sisters, Katherine Davidson and Margaret Compton.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Leighton, Daniel Leighton, Cynthia Paradis (Ray) and Eric Leighton (Tonya Eichman); her close friend Vincent "Jack" Kittredge; and her siblings, Frances Almedia, Raymond Clayton (Julie) and James Clayton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home (191 Hartland Ave, Pittsfield, ME 04967). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
