We announce the death of Peter Rafuse of Waterville, Maine, who passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 59. Peter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jane Rafuse Baker (Daigle) and Wilfred Rafuse. He is survived by: his son T. J. Rafuse (Ashley); his grandchildren, Avery, Jakobe and Hayley; his sister Valerie Wheeler (Omar); his nephews, Ben and Jake (Alicia); his great-nephew Hudson; his brother Bill Rafuse (Emily); his nephew Elliott; his nieces, Willa and Maggie; his stepbrother Michael (Christy); his stepsibling's children, Devon, Jazzmine and Taylor; his stepbrother Jack Baker (Amy); his stepsibling's children, Kirstie, Rebecca, Derek and Kaitlyn; his stepsister Andrea McKay (Jason); his stepsibling's children, Aaron (Caitlyn), Brittanny (Dylan) and Nick (Serena); and his close friend Alesia Lambert. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great niece and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Pete's memory towards the purchase of a defibrillator that will be donated to Merici Woods, where he lived. Donations can be made at the celebration of life or mailed to his sister Valerie Wheeler at 992 Garland Road, Winslow.
