He is survived by: his wife Doris Ouellette Ruel; his children, Diane Lauter (David Lauter) of Eliot, ME and Ronald Ruel (Ann Ruel) of The Villages, FL; his grandchildren, Michael Lauter (Carla Lauter) of Lisbon, ME, Sara Lauter (Phillip Dignard) of Nottingham, NH and Rachel Ruel Karim (Mo Karim) of Stuart, FL; and also Quinn Lauter.
