The family announces the passing of Joyce Edna Heaton of Westbrook, Maine on September 6, 2026. Joyce, born on June 2, 1956 in Poughkeepsie, New York, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Adna and Jane Davis Heaton. She is survived by: her husband Steve Ouellette; her daughters, Madeleine (Immad Khan) and Isabelle; her grandchildren, Zayaan, Zara and Zaiden; and her siblings, Joanna Selim, Hooker Heaton and Virginia Keller. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the State Street Church (159 State St, Portland, ME 04101).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, State Street Church, Lyall Community Church, or Millbrook Rotary.
