He was predeceased by : his wife Blanche Poland; his former life partner Gayle Mayo; and his sisters, Montris Tyler and Eleanor Welch. He is survived by : his children, Daryn and Nancy of Farmington; his granddaughter Ashley of New York; his siblings, Dwain and Shannon Smith of Wilton; and his stepchildren, Garry Mayo (Mary Ellen), Julie Balboni (Steve), Tracy Boivin (Jimmy) and Terri Simpson (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
