“So sorry for your loss, dear cousins. Even though she lived a long life, it is always difficult to lose one’s mother and grandmother. I will always remember her laugh with a little chuckle on the end. Her life wasn’t easy but she always had a smile. I have fond memories of sitting with her to talk about the Canadian relatives. I was so disappointed to learn that there were no Indians in the Blanchard family as I was sure that Grammy was an Indian with her dark eyes, high cheekbones. Love Janie”
