He was predeceased by: his wife Elinor. He is survived by: his children, Edward MacCarthy III of South Portland, John MacCarthy of Tustin, Amy Bearce of Raymond, Rebecca Dolgin of Chappaqua and Melissa Sims of Howell; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kerry, Sophia, Beth, Laura, Makenna Charlotte, Chloe, Valentina and Elijah.
