He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Legere and Katherine C. Legere (Foley); and his brother Charles E. Legere, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Legere (Giguere); his children, Katherine Legere and Joseph (Vicki); his grandchildren, Blair and Grace; his daughter Anne (Dana Thompson); his grandsons, Daniel, Justin and Luke; and his sister Doris Roever (Legere).
