Katherine P. Atherton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine P. Atherton (Windham, Maine), who passed away on May 6, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Purington and Inez Purington; her former husband Joseph Sylvester; her husband Frank Atherton; and her siblings, Alfred, Willard, Milton, Evelyn, Dorothy, Marguerite, Barbara and Beverly.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Atherton (Dottie), Darlene Morrill (Rupert), Gail Staples (John), Joseph Sylvester (Linda), Donna Morton (David), Janet Morrell (Dale) and Deborah Doucette (Michael); her grandchildren, Kristine Atherton, Donald Atherton, Julie Anketell, Christopher Staples, Jill Hoard, Gregory Staples, James Sylvester, Benjamin Morton, Jennifer Morton, Darcy Flaherty, Brett Morrell, Kyle Morrell, Danielle Caron and Ayako Tadahira; and her great grandchildren, Brandon Fogg, Kaitlyn Fogg, Bree Heikkinen, Ryan Hoard, Matthew Hoard, Amber Hoard, Coleman Flaherty, Carleigh Flaherty, Lucas Flaherty, Gabriella Morrell, Brenna Morrell, Jacob Caron, Graham Caron, Inez Caron and Dean Caron. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
