He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Lewsen and Richard Lewsen Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Karen Lewsen (Hall); his brother-in-law George Hall (Phyllis); and his nieces and nephews, Donald Hall (Elizabeth), Stephen Hall, Stacey Webster (William) and Kimberly Babb (Barry). He is also survived by five great nieces & nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windham Police Dept., 375 Gray Road, Windham, ME 04062, for a memorial of remembrances of fallen police officers.
