He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Babb and Margarite Babb; and his close friend Terry Wilkinson. He is survived by: his son Barry (Kim); his wife Sally Kimball; his son Robert Jr. (Carla); his siblings, Charlotte Jordan, Janet Ray (Allan), Emily Carey, Donna Lowe (Bobby) and George Babb Jr. (Joan); and his grandchildren, Kelsey Ordway (Mike), Logan Laberge (Cody) and Bradley.
