In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Chambers and Scott Burns, Sr.; and his wife Dorothy Burns. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Dave E. Hunt (Cheryl) and Cheryl E. Hunt-Evans (Jonathan). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Plummer Funeral Home - Windsor (983 Ridge Rd, Windsor, ME 04363). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Plummer Funeral Home (983 Ridge Rd, Windsor, ME 04363). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery (110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH 03303).
