David will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his brother Isn't Watching (Piecing Scattered Souls); his parents, Walter Moritz Solmitz and Elly Reis Solmitz; his former wife Esther Bircher; and his son Reuben Solmitz.
He is survived by: his daughter May Aihua Ye; his wife Jing Ye; and his children, Oliver Solmitz, Justin Solmitz and Sonnet Solmitz (David). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
