He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James F. Nelligan and Marian B. Nelligan (Kelley); his wife Barbara A. Nelligan (Binda); his sister Marian Littlefield; his nephews, Brian Levasseur (Faye), Michael LeMay and Jamie LeMay; his great-nieces, Erin Levasseur and Courtney LeMay; and his brothers-in-law, Louis Binda and Richard LeMay.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor (Summersville, MA) or the Animal Welfare Society (West Kennebunk, ME).
