With sadness, we share the passing of Marilyn Sawicki of York, Maine. Marilyn, born on September 4, 1944, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Marilyn for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Marilyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Creedon and Anne Creedon. She was also cherished by her four children, two sisters, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with three more great-grandchildren on the way, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (175 Broadway, Malden, MA 02148).
In lieu of flowers, Marilyn asked for donations to be made to St. Jude Research Hospital in her name https://fundraising.stjude.org.
