He was predeceased by : his parents, Burton C. Canfield and Susie I. Canfield (Shattuck); and his sister Leslie Shea. He is survived by : his brother Burton "Bud" C. Canfield Jr.; and his wife Martha Canfield (Grover). He is also survived by three daughters and their spouses; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home (91 Long Sands Rd, York, ME 03909). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at the First Parish Cemetery (180 York St, York, ME 03909).
