He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Guenther and Myrtle Dennis; his brother Robert; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Colby and Nancy Guenther.

He is survived by: his wife Denise K. Guenther; his sons, Dean Guenther (Audralynn) and Bryan Guenther (Danielle); his stepson Alexander Stratton III (Haley); his daughters, Tina Creps (Christopher) and Connie Guenther; his stepdaughters, Christin Grandy (Russell) and Candi Carpenter (Lester); and his sisters, Carol A. Colby and Mary Wages (Dan). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the Michigan Chapter of the American Heart Association or Hospice of Lenawee.
