She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Earles and Helen Earles (Ranger); her son Bruce Carpenter; and her brothers, Richard and Robert Earles.

She is survived by: her husband Wayne Sidney Carpenter; her children, Matthew Carpenter (Kelly) of Adrian and Caroline Ambrose (Robert) of Adrian; her grandchildren, Jacob Carpenter (Lindsey), Abby Vittore (Ben) and John Ambrose (Victoria); and her great grandchildren, Rosie Jo, Joshua, Richard and Robert Tamas.

Memorial contributions can be made to Wellsville United Methodist Church or the Lenawee Humane Society.
