He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold C. Hassenzahl and Joan M. Hassenzahl (Silvassy); his brother-in-law Duaine Sayler; and his wife Nancy Johns. He is survived by: his children, David Hassenzahl (Jackie Tabbert), Lori Gonzalez (Mike), Penny Fisher (Rob) and Emily Baker (Brian); his grandchildren, Charles Winzler (Alicia), Kayla Bertalon (Jacob), Josh Hassenzahl (Chelsea), Bailey Harrison (Cole), Mason Fisher (Kaylee), Paige and Haily Baker; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Carter, River, Waylon and Rhett; and his sister Judy Sayler (Duane).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home (3050 W Beecher Rd, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Lenawee Hills Memorial Park (1291 Wolf Creek Hwy, Adrian, MI 49221).
