The memory of DeLeon Lyle Matthews Jr. of Adrian, Michigan, who passed away on July 6, 2025 at the age of 74, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Deleon Sr. Matthews and Hattie Matthews (Fite); his son Michael Matthews; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Dalgard. He is survived by: his wife Linda Matthews of Adrian's St; his sons, Marcus Matthews (Danyelle) and Eric Matthews; his grandchildren, Alexandria, Tyler (Lessette) and Nolan; his great grandchildren, Jace, Nadia, Maximus, Camila, Gianna, Xander and Amelia; and his son Louie. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Purse Funeral Home (2959 N Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
