He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hillard and Lois Hillard (Cessna); and his brother-in-law Gerald Derby. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his sons, Phillip Hillard (Sandra) of Hudson and Brian Hillard (Colleen) of Apopka, FL; his siblings, Gregory Hillard (Eugenie) of Jasper, Larry Hillard (Roxanne), Ronald Hillard (Laurel) of South Lyons, Sondra Derby of Sand Creek, JoAnne Pickens (Robert) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Linda Salenbien (Daniel) of Adrian; his grandchildren, Sarah (Justin), Kyle, Nicholas (Amy), Ayden and Kelton; and his great grandchild Penny.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home – Adrian (3050 W Beecher Rd, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
