We announce the death of Earl Lay of Adrian, Michigan, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 74. Earl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Rebecca Ann Hackett; his son Chris Lay (Nici); his grandchildren, Denver and Alex Lay; his wife Becky; his daughter Stephanie Lay; his parents, Marvin and Nellie; and his brothers, Harold Lay and Ronald Lay.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home (3050 W Beecher Rd, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St Joseph Cemetery (1029 Oakwood Rd, Adrian, MI 49221).
Memorial contributions can be made to the Book fund though the Lenawee Foundation, or The United Way.
