He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sr. Powers and Ruth Powers (Carlson); his wife Martha Powers (Tyler); and his siblings, Denise Powers and Dennis Powers.
He is survived by: his children, Shelley Horace (Andri) of Adrian, MI, Jennifer McVay of Ruston, LA and Mikle Lewis of Wyoming, MI; his grandsons, Ezra Evans of Grand Rapids, MI and Aiden Horace of Adrian, MI; and his brother Pete Powers.
